How it works

Detect. Evidence. Keep the record.

1

Detect

Weekly crawls test every supported Transparency Rules check against your public pages — scoped to the services you actually offer.

2

Evidence

Findings arrive with the exact page, excerpt, screenshot and current SRA source — plus a one-click re-scan when it's fixed.

3

Keep the record

Everything lands in a dated history and monthly statement: proof of ongoing oversight for your COLP and PI renewal.

What you get

Built for evidence, not fear

Weekly scans, instant re-scans

Every page checked every week — and the moment you fix something, one click re-checks it and archives the before/after evidence.

Exact evidence, never a score

Each finding shows the page, the excerpt, a screenshot and the SRA source it was tested against. Reproducible and dated.

The rules are watched too

The SRA's own pages are monitored daily. When guidance changes, a human reviews it, affected checks re-run, and you're told what moved.

Honest result classes

Action needed, review needed, clear, or unable to verify. Judgement calls are labelled for humans — never dressed up as verdicts.

Monthly monitoring statement

A dated evidence pack files itself every month — scans, findings, fixes and rule versions. The record your COLP would build by hand.

Reads what firms actually publish

Follows the whole site politely, reads pricing PDFs, and renders JavaScript-built pages when plain crawling isn't enough.

For the time-poor COLP

Proof of oversight, without the quarterly scramble

Every scan, finding, fix and rule version lands in a dated monitoring statement — the record you'd otherwise assemble by hand, and useful evidence of ongoing oversight when your PI insurer asks about compliance processes at renewal. When something regresses after a website edit, you hear about it that week, not at the next audit.

Fair questions

Can a scanner really judge SRA compliance?

No — and we never claim to. Objective checks (SRA number, badge, complaints page, price presence) are automated with evidence. Judgement calls — is the pricing "adequate", is the badge "prominent" — are explicitly labelled for human review with the evidence laid out. "Clear" means no issue was detected by a specific check, never "compliant".

What do you access on our website?

Public pages only, politely (rate-limited, robots.txt respected). We never sign in, submit forms, or touch client portals — and we never hold client matter data. What we store is the evidence for your findings: excerpts, hashes, screenshots.

How is this different from a one-off compliance audit?

An audit is a photograph; your website is a video. Sites drift after a plugin update, a re-design, a new fee page. FirmProof re-checks weekly, catches the regression that week, and keeps the dated trail an audit can't give you between visits.

Who is behind FirmProof?

A named person — not an anonymous audit shop. FirmProof is built and run by Fabio Dantas at Codable Labs Limited (UK), with the methodology and measured accuracy published and the SRA source watch run in public. Meet the founder.

What happens when the SRA changes its rules?

We monitor the SRA's own pages daily. When monitored content changes, a human reviews it against our checks; if a check is affected, your site is re-scanned under the updated ruleset and you get a plain-English note about what moved — with a link to the source.
